Acupressure on these areas or reflex points that correspond to different body organs, bones and body systems has a beneficial effect on a person's general health. For example, reflexology holds that a specific spot on the right toe corresponds to one’s brain and crown energy so when a practitioner uses thumbs or fingers to give appropriate pressure to this area, it calms the mind. It is also used around the world to complement help with anxiety, headaches, kidney function, sinus function and PMS.
